To ensure patients have a seamless continuation of care after completing cancer treatment, follow-up appointments are scheduled during the visit to the doctor's office. The doctor, in accordance with the established monitoring schedule, reserves the next date for examinations and consultations.

In some cases, a follow-up appointment may not be scheduled immediately. If there is no designated date for the next visit, please contact our helpline at 22 546 20 00. A registration consultant will provide detailed information and propose the earliest possible date for a follow-up visit.

Why are regular follow-up visits so important?

Adhering to the doctor's recommendations, timely examinations, and attending follow-up visits are crucial for the patient's health after completing cancer treatment. Regular check-ups allow for:

  • Early detection of any recurrence of the disease – some cancers may only show symptoms at an advanced stage, so regular examinations enable the early detection of changes and the initiation of treatment.
  • Monitoring the side effects of therapy – some treatment methods may cause complications that require further observation and appropriate management.
  • Providing comprehensive health care – during follow-up visits, the doctor not only reviews test results but also assesses the patient's overall health, offers lifestyle advice, and, if necessary, refers for additional consultations.

Important!

Missing follow-up visits or not adhering to recommendations may lead to delayed detection of health issues, reducing the effectiveness of any further treatment. Therefore, it is crucial for patients to actively participate in their recovery process, ensure the timeliness of visits, and not ignore any concerning symptoms.
